GoToMyPC provides a seamless and quick way of accessing one or more devices remotely. It supports Windows and macOS, covering the most popular operating systems on the market. Although you can access the platform from a mobile device, you can’t access Android or iOS devices remotely. This means you can access your computers on the go, even from a smartphone. Unfortunately, other devices, such as Chromebooks, are not supported.

To start using GoToMyPC, you must install the app on the host devices. Then, you should connect to each one either via the client or the web app. We especially liked GoToMyPC's web app, as it streamlines the setup process with a no-installer approach.

We felt that the app’s interface looks old-fashioned compared to the web app or alternative solutions, making it less attractive. Nonetheless, this is only an aesthetic issue, as it works flawlessly regardless.

One of the highlights of this solution is how quick and easy it is to transfer files across devices. It works seamlessly and is better than Bluetooth or cloud hosting links.

Talking about convenience, remote printing is also available. For example, you can effortlessly send printing jobs to your workplace’s printer from the comfort of your home via a remote connection. Plus, you can also print documents locally from a host computer.

Another highlight is multi-monitor support, which allows you to switch between the screens easily. To make this straightforward, there’s a minimap with thumbnails of each screen, providing quick navigation shortcuts for each. Unfortunately, the minimap isn’t available on Mac client computers.

We want to highlight GoToMyPC's security features, which are essential for software such as this. It offers enterprise-grade security (AES‑256 encryption) and MFA and includes a built-in antivirus, remote device keyboard and mouse lock, automatic session timeouts, remote connections history log, and password prompt on security timeout.

As if that’s not enough, on top of a complementary antivirus and a security score tool, screen blanking lets you turn the host computer’s screen black or green while in an active remote session.

Some of the best features are limited to the enterprise plan. These include SSO, wake-on-LAN, which lets you turn on powered-off or sleep-mode computers remotely (inside the same LAN network), and a handy chat tool for communicating with a customer during support sessions.

Since this solution supports unlimited users, account administration features are also important to mention. There’s a user management tool with different privileges and roles and comprehensive usage reports with specific information about who logged in, for how long, and at what time. Regarding data privacy, there’s nothing to worry about, as GoToMyPC is compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, and SOC-2.

GoToMyPC is also available for Android and iOS devices as multi-platform remote connection software. While the apps aren’t the best-looking, they’re definitely easy to use. It allows you to quickly access your host computers, their files, software, and network on the go.

GoToMyPC integrates Microsoft Entra and RADIUS, adding another layer of security. For corporate subscriptions, you get access to the app’s API.

GoToMyPC has three subscription tiers with yearly and monthly billing options. As usual, the best deals come with long-term subscriptions, which include a 20% discount.

Pro costs $33 per computer per month and supports one user and up to 20 remote connections. It includes features such as remote printing, multi-monitor support, remote file transfer, and comprehensive usage reports.

You can subscribe to Personal for $35 per computer per month. This plan supports only one user and up to 20 remote connections. Since they’re not required, it doesn’t include account administration features, but it adds the option to access host computers via a browser.

For businesses, GoToMyPC's Corporate plan costs $28 per computer per month and adds advanced features like multiple admins, wake-on-lan, real chat, and SSO. Compared to the competition, GoToMyPC doesn’t offer as many enterprise features as other solutions.

Those who’d like to try the service before purchasing can do so with its no-credit-card 7-day free trial. Considering the company doesn’t have a refund policy, this is the only way to test the service risk free. For payments, GoToMyPC accepts credit cards, PayPal, and wire transfers.

It was a bit confusing that we sometimes were redirected to LogMeIn’s support page while navigating help resources. This is certainly an area that the company could streamline.

Still, the company’s customer service operates 24/7 with live chat and phone support during business hours. If the team isn’t online, you can fill in a contact form and choose whether to be contacted via email or phone.

Finally, GoToMyPC is also present on Facebook, X, and YouTube.

It includes features that can save you precious time, like easy file transferring across devices and comprehensive security features for remote customer support tasks. It also offers essential remote access functionalities such as multi-monitor support and remote printing.

The user experience might not be as smooth as some competitors’, and we did find a few minor drawbacks, like Android and iOS not being supported and the outdated interface.

That said, GoToMyPC strikes a balance between price and features and is definitely a contender in the remote access software market. With a 7-day free trial available, there’s no reason not to try it.
